Great meal I enjoyed every bite. The stuffed rainbow trout and the shrimp and grit cake were both excellent - nice flavor profiles. We tried the Cajun roasted oysters they were tasty. I love raw oysters usually but my dinner companion is not a fan so the roasted were a good compromise. Loved the vibe in the upstairs lounge so definitely will be back. I definitely want to try the mussels on my next trip.

One of my favorite places for drinks and appetizers. The vibes are great here for chatting with friends and sipping a cocktail. The steak tartare and the pork bao buns are especially delicious. The bar tenders make a great dirty martini. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The oysters are always fresh clean and delicious. The only down side is finding parking near the restaurant.

Wonderful dining experience. Have to start with Moondancer oysters, of course. We split the butter lettuce salad which was very lightly dressed. We also had the salmon and the seafood pozole. Both excellent. The cocktails and wine are divine. Try the Squeling Pig sav. The interior is very nice. Well designed space. There were some sketchy activities going on outside with police taping off an area so parking and walking in was challenging. Hopefully not an every day occurrence.

I died at Gemma with a large group for a dinner gathering. We started with the ember-grilled shrimp, which we all enjoyed--the combination of the sauce and sourdough was fantastic. For my main course, I had the seafood pozole. While I appreciated the corn undertone of the sauce, the shrimp was rubbery and overcooked, lacking flavor. I also wish we could have ordered extra bread for dipping. The service was generally good, but even though the restaurant wasn't busy, it took over an hour for our food to arrive, possibly due to our group size. Overall, I would consider coming back to try more items on the menu, though I found the prices a bit high.

Upstairs was amazing. The food, drinks, and the service were excellent. Downstairs the same thing. We sat in a velvet booth with a neon sign above us and it was awesome. The wait staff were amazing. The food was absolutely delicious as well as the drinks. The owner Brittany and her husband were amazing. The bartender upstairs Mike was amazing. Super friendly and gave great recommendations for drinks and food. Our waiter downstairs Carlos was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Planned a work dinner here and it came out perfect. The decor is beautiful; starting with those beautiful tall wooden doors in the entrance, the mural in the first floor; everything very elegant. Ana was our server and she was great, gracious and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. As for the food I'd say my favourite entree was the roasted oysters and would for sure come back for those again, the lobster bao bun on the other hand wasn't really anything special. My plate was the sea bass with the mushroom risotto, which was a day special, was very tasty and had a nice portion. Next time I will however try something else, likely the stuffed trout. For Jacksonville, the prices are a little on the upper end, but nothing crazy

I'm putting my critique first to make sure this is read. My one complaint with this restaurant is that the lights are way too bright. It's giving hotel lobby. Lowering the over heard lights, not necessarily powering them off, would take this from being a place with great food to an upper tier cool spot. It has great decor, architecture, and it's a good space. The food was fantastic. The drinks are solid. The spicy margarita was lacking the agave but upon request the drink was remade. Service was excellent. Please read this and figure out the light situation because you have a great place on your hands but are limiting yourselves with the lights.

I've had this restaurant bookmarked since its opening. I'm always excited to see new seafood restaurants pop up, so I've been waiting for an opportunity to stop by. This restaurant is located in East San Marco, right next to the new Publix. Parking is tight in San Marco, but the restaurant offers valet, and there's street parking and the Publix garage, so I had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant itself is pretty eye-catching, with steps and grand double doors. Upon entry, we were immediately enamored by the beauty; the ambiance was fitting for the area. It gives pure luxury and perfect vibes for any occasion. The first-floor bar faces the entrance, and there's also a Rooftop bar and seating area that I did not experience due to Florida's heat and humidity. I had reservations at 5 pm and asked the hostess about happy hour specials. She advised that the specials were only available at the bar, which was already full, so we were seated in the main dining area. I felt the seating arrangement was a little too close for comfort. We found ourselves leaning in and whispering to keep the guests next to us from hearing our convo, and we even left a little early to finish chatting outside. The staff was super friendly and helpful from start to finish. The hostess changed our table when we requested a seat away from direct sunlight. Our server, Reed, was super attentive; there was never a wait for anything we needed. He went over the menu in great detail and even advised that although the happy hour food items were only available at the bar, we could still partake in drink specials. He promptly brought over a happy hour menu. The chef brought out many of our dishes, which is always great. And a gentleman came by to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and the food. What we ordered: * Baked Crab & Artichoke Dip: Baked crab & artichoke dip, toast points * Spicy Mussels: Calabrian chili, caramelized fennel, smoked bacon, charred lemon, grilled bread * Fried Oysters: Fried oysters, green goddess dressing * Ember Roasted Beets: Ember roasted beets, carrot, benne seed, toasted walnut, aerated blue cheese * Cajun Roasted Gulf Oysters: Cajun roasted Gulf oysters, chili compound butter, Monterey jack cheese, pecorino crumb We also ordered two cocktails and one glass of wine. Everything cost about $120. The portion sizes were perfect for sharing appetizers, the food was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was beautiful. My favorites were the Cajun-roasted oysters and the Crab and artichoke dip. The other items could've used a bit more flavor/seasoning, but it's hard to cater to everyone's preferences regarding seasoning. I can't wait to go back and sit at the bar for a proper happy hour. I'll just get there a little earlier next time.

The lobster needed some seasoning Extras: Portion Size: large portions Conclusion: MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION! This place is a vibe. We started at the rooftop happy hour. It was beautiful and the snacks we got were good. Then we moved downstairs for dinner. Service was great and they even gave us a free glasses of champagne. The food overall was pretty good but the oysters were the star of the show. I will definitely be back.

Came here for drinks and gladly can say that they did not disappoint! However, we did come for happy hour and assumed all the cocktails were $8, but didn't realize it was just a select few. It would've been nice if we got told this by the server when we mentioned happy hour. But, regardless the drinks were still good and I would visit again!
